Animal CRUELTY

Alexandra Delaney’s concern with animal rights and mass killings of buffaloes and goats during Dashain is legitimate and I understand how these acts could upset a true vegetarian (“Seeing red,” Oct. 12, Page 7). However, I do not agree with her statement about Nepal being “superstitious”.

Every country has a cultural legacy and religious practices for reasons that I don’t believe fall under the category of superstition, something that a religious scholar should understand. Her concluding quote of Ghandi—“every country can be judged based on how women and animals are treated”—also includes countries in the West where there are thousands of animals killed every day, often inhumanely. Why do only developing nations have to be picked for censure?

Happy Dashain 2065 !

In Nepal, we are celebrating one of the biggest and most prestigious festival of all Nepalese. This festival is celebrated for the period of ten days. In local Nepali language, it is actually called "Bada Dashain" which means, big dashain.

When I googled the keyword- "Dashain", The very first link took me to the Wikipedia which has some brief definition.

"Dashain (दशैं) is the 15-day national festival of Nepal, and a state festival of Indian states of Sikkim and the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. It is also a national holiday in Bhutan. Now it is celebrated all around the world by the Nepalese diaspora."

Continuing from the eighth day, there are sacrifices made and the Goddess temples all over the Kathmandu Valley receive sacrifices, ranging from goats and buffaloes to ducks and chickens.


Today is Navami, the ninth day. Sacrifices continue this day too, On the tenth day which is tomorrow 9th of October, 2008 of English Calendar. Mainly women prepare mixture of rice, yogurt and vermillion which is called "tika". Elders put this on the forehead of younger relatives to bless them with fertility and abundance in the upcoming year.

The color red here is represented as the close ties of the blood of family members. Entire member of the family is present on this auspicious day. People drive from many different foreign land or from any other part of the world they are living just for this day.

Elder member in the family offer blessings, money and wishes on this day. The get together is most of the time interesting. Many people play cards and enormous amout of the food, drinks and special high quality whisky, rum, wine,vodka and beer is consumed on this very day.

From a months I have been receiving loads of messeage regarding the celebration of this festival. Yesterday, a friend send the picture (copyright Ananta ) Which is shown below:



As every body is giving and sharing the blessings I should do the same. Since I do not believe in the power of an individual- "My greetings, blessings, wishes and whatever I can give is for you all."

I hope, all your dreams come true. I wish all the success in your life. I know I am nobody but I can be somebody. This somebody is another identity which we generally call as- friends, son, brother, may in future (father), and most importantly a simple human.

A poem for the blessing of "happy dashain 2065" ----

People have thousand desires,

I hope your all thousand desires come true.
I have none, I do not have to be blessed.

For some Life is difficult, for me life is easy.

I have seen people killing themselves, I want to ask- why not ?

To expect is to suspect with life.

With desires comes dissatisfaction.

Dissatisfied man is full of misery.

I wish nobody has misery.

I am in search of knowing who am I ?

Sine I have not yet, found right answer.

I do not know- I only speak experience.

You can take it the way you want it to take.

Whatever way it goes does not matter in the end.

Because I know, you are not going to stick with this same stupid poem.

I am putting my thoughts into action,

Some people call me writer, some call me wiser ...

I have no arguments to what people call me ...

Only because, I am universal acceptor.

Nature of every entity in the world develops nature.

Till present, there are duality involved in everything.

Bless you with the power of Nature.

Bless you with power of all the Supreme God.

Bless you with power of greatest God, I have come across

He is no one but simply called- "Nature God".

Nepal Pyaro Chaa (In Nepalese)

Here is one Nepali article I came across which was sent to me by some one.(Rajib Wraz), I hope you will enjoy this messege.

Where is heaven or hell ?

If you ask this question then you will come up with some very funny answers and some totally vague. Well, what do you think ? Where is this place called heaven or hell ? What I believe is very much similar now what you might think.

Some of you might think that heaven is in some place where we will reach only after we are dead. After our death we will reach to this place which is called heaven. If we do great deeds in our present life we will surely see the place called heaven. This is also the concept we have in our Hindu culture. I remember my parents saying once to me that- There is no heaven or hell. Everything is here in this planet, here alone.

Forget about the place called heaven or hell ! It does not exits. What exist is just what you are seeing now. That is your heaven or hell. It is your interpretation of what you are facing now at present. We are very good at judging the place, country, religion or sex. Without experience whatever we judge or say something about is meaningless, useless- People want to see or hear more about your experiences then something which does not give any meaning to them.Tell about your experience do not tell or judge something just like that.

Coming to the point where is the heaven, Heaven is there where our heart is. Hell is there where our hatred is.

I don't know from where this line came in my mind.This is what I think. The heart full of love consists of heaven and the heart which has hatred lies the hell. It is our heart where these two words lies. Whenever we talk about love, life and about family we know what we are talking about and we mean it.

Heaven is there where our heart lies, where our heart wants to be always and most importantly where in our heart lies the mysterious word called "love". The place is hell if we do not have that capability to keep the word called "love".

Do not differentiate between anything either it is words or either it is country or culture or whatever. Every thing is good, every food you made is good, every bar you visit is nice, every girl you see is beautiful, every clothes you were is perfect, every smile you make is awesome, every writing you write is nice, every songs you sing is outstanding, every place you visit is beautiful, every acting you do is marvelous, every lectures you attend is exquisite, every movies you watched is perfect and nice movie, every boy or girl you see are intelligent only thing that you need is the way you see them !

"Beauties lies in the eyes of beholder". Yes it does ! Only difference that exist is how you see them. See the different pattern in the sky every day. They are just for you. To make you smile, to give you pleasure that you are alive and to say you that you are in heaven. See with clear vision and clear mindset you will get what you want.

Is Oshama bin laden in Nepal ?

I don't know why I am writing this topic but I think and I always have thought that Oshama bin laden is in Nepal. There are more number of Muslim community in Nepal then in Nepali residing in Nepal alone. I never use to discuss whatever I write with anybody but before writing this My friends do not agree with me. They are saying that Oshama bin laden cannot be in Nepal, No way ! It is impossible and I think I have to agree with them but I don't know I feel as if Oshama bin laden is in Nepal Why any top terrorist is linked with Nepal ? Why is Our country linked as if we are a place to store all the terrorist. I think it has to do with the open border we share with India. It is very easy for any indian to come to Nepal as it is free and open. All the terrorist find them very easy to come to Nepal that is why there is a theme growing in and that theme is that "Do crime in India or in Asia or in World and visit Nepal" I may be wrong about this topic but I think Is their any possibility that Oshama bin laden resides in Nepal ?

First to use Future Technology

From 20 years from now, This is what we will have. There is so much of money being invested in alternative forms for energy. This is what we would have in our near future. The future world. We would rather save the energy in this way. I remember during Jan23-Jan24, There was a fuel strike in country Nepal. Well, It seems that the first person to use such kind of alternative transportation system will be country Nepal. Nepal is always counted from the bottom of the list but in this case we might have a chance of saying that we are the first nations in the world to use such kind of energy saving transportation system. We are quite ahead in the calender. We are going at very fast pace. The whole world is now just in 2008 and our calender says that we are in 2064. Well we are old people then from anywhere in the world. We are so mature, and we are so emotionally fragile. No one in the whole world can break that. If one day oil finishes in this world then- surely we will have no other options and it will definitely bring lot of trouble to many people all over the world but it won't make mjavascript:void(0)uch of difference to our country because we are practising this technology from now. We are waiting in the queue for hours and whole day just to fill the 2 ltrs of petrol for our bike. It shows that we are quite ahead in every situation and we can easily predict the future. Every human who is in Nepal is thinking to migrate because one day whole of Europeans and Americans will be moving to Asia and all Asian people will be moving to Europe and America. This is true. I heard a news yesterday that 100 of Nepali were missing from some industry in US. Wow, It may be surprising case to those people but for us it is just a news.

Now the lesson to learn from this article is that- Be prepared in advance because we are very good at assuming and predicting things in near future. We are very good human beings but our political and geographical atmosphere is making all of us as super humans. We are the first super humans in this whole planet cheers !!!

Girija Prasad Koirala is Dead.

Well., People don't get suprise to see the titile fo the article as Prime minister of Nepal is dead. Yes ! Prime minister of Nepal is dead. There are 3 bomb attack in 3 different city of Nepal on the same day. Who is responsible ? Why is country in this situation ? Who is the highest working individual in the country ? Isn't is our prime minister. What is that he is doing standing there as the prime minster. Do not get suprise by the fact that our prime minster is dead. Yes he is. No news have covered this top story. No one knows but he is dead. He is must responsible person in the country but Now he is no more. So our country is free. There are Now thousands of small group who wants to be in politics.Such as Cobra, JTMM, Tarai Morchaa, 7+1 political parties... and so on...Every body wants to earn name, fame and money in politics in our country. Yes Girija Pradad Koira is dead.This news will be soon be covered in other news paper and TV- channels but this is truth. He is no more with us. Now who is going to rule the country ? Think ... 19 October 2007 "Happy Vijaya Dashami 2064 "

It was cold, chilly night in the center of Lappeeranata University of Technology., Me,Ananata,Jhamak,Bishal met in my room, We decided to do some party., We were not sure of the venue, then we thought about our friend Bala who was sick, we wanted to see him.

We realized that one guy was missing, it was not difficult for us to figure out who it was, probably we are just 6 nepali guys here in finland. It was Sijan. so, we asked him to come to bala's palce, we went there we saw Bala was dancing, celebrating and was really in jolly mood. We were suprised by what we saw. Later He said that, Today is Vijaya Dashami 2064 Let us Celebrate ! We thought why not, We must celebrate !

The celebration started. Now we were 6+2 guys., Probably don't be surprised the two guys were our special guest. One guy was Bala's flat mate., From Finland- Teemu and The next guy was Bishal's very good friend- From Pakistan-Mubin....

Guys started preparing the food,chicken....Pulaau..,

We wanted a Nepali way and the Nepali way was given by me., I was talking with Teemu,Mubin and Jhamak- We started a discussion, a round table discussion. It all started with religion,sex,what's on man's mind ?, what is on women's mind ? Then it heated up... The talked went on and on...

It now came to GOD.,nobody agreed with what i have to say, because i wanted to put what i mean to say to these guys and they do not agree with me.. I still say that why are we following the tradition ? Why is there difference in culture,country and religion ? Every discussion was ending with big question-Why ? My dear pakistani friend was not happy with this question.

I was just alone defending myself, I wanted to say that-"All religion in this world connects to these keywords such as TRUTH,PEACE FOR MAN KIND ....." These were done by some great human in the past such as GAUTAM BUDDHA,JESUS CHRIST,MOHAMMAD etc., These great people were Human First and they will always remain human to me. We are treating them as god but why ?

We do this because we are following the tradion. Our parents taught this and we are following. But I want to say,

NEVER REPEAT ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCEd IN YOUR LIFE

still people will not understand me... because i am defending myself and no one will be on my side. every body wants to get a safe landing, anyways..., I do not know ... Probably i thought i was ruining the disucssion so i kept quite after that.

Guys prepared a great DASHAIN dinner it was the best dinner i had it here in Finland since months. We all enjoyed a fine Nepali Dinner !!!

All the cleaning was done by my beloved guys except me.... because i am lazy !!!

This way we celebrated a great dashain festival... Thanks to all my lovely,sweet and great nepali guys. You guys are great !!! Cheers Finlandia Vodka to you all !!!

Remeber guys, I am lazy and i will be lazy... One thing you all have to do is try to improve my habit and I wont be lazy anymore.
